Rubble in the Mostra Fairgrounds, Naples, Italy
In Italy, the 21st General Hospital was stationed at the Mostra Fairgrounds, which had been both poorly constructed and heavily damaged by weather and bombing. Whereas in Algeria the unit had utilized a beautiful health resort, in Italy it had to set up wards in the shells of this former world’s fair buildings.
