| This photograph, showing the packed grandstands of the Champs des Courses racetrack in Rouen, was probably taken at the “Unit 21 Circus” in June 1918. The circus audience was composed of not only patients of Base Hospital 21 but also patients and staff of the nearby British army hospitals. | |
