Base Hospital 21’s use of x-rays was more specialized and advanced than that of the other military hospitals in the Rouen area. It was customary at the unit to x-ray all wounded prior to surgery. Convoys of recently wounded often arrived at night and the early morning hours. The roentgenologists and technicians often worked through the night during periods of heavy casualities. |
