Biographical Information: Surgeon, born 1900 outside Paducah, Kentucky. Graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine in 1926; moved to Los Angeles where he practiced medicine for over 50 years.
Summary: Anderson discusses his experiences as a student at the Washington University School of Medicine in the 1920s and some of his instructors, including Evarts A. Graham and Ernest Sachs. Anderson also details his experiences as senior medical officer on a hospital transport ship during World War II and his continuing study of abdominal surgery at the Allgemeine Krankenhaus at the University of Vienna.
