Franz Eugen Köhler’s magnum opus appeared eight years after his death, edited by Gustav Pabst. The set of three volumes was a noteworthy achievement and included plants of medicinal importance from across Europe and the United States. A remarkable feature of the book is the nearly two hundred finely detailed color illustrations rendered in chromolithography. |
